[lug] NIC trade...

I'm planning to go from a 28k to a 56k modem and would prefer
internal. I've looked over www.pricewatch.com, where there
are "Lucent" PCI modems selling for $13. However, I'm worried
about Linux compatibility. I looked over RedHat's support
page (which is several months out of date) and the only internal
PCI modem they suggest is
an Actiontec PM-6500-LKI which, according to Actiontec's home page,
does not seem to be a current product.

Does anyone have any current information about this? Can anyone
point me to an up-to-date hardware compatibility page?

Thanks,
:-)Bernie

Before you trade that one away, do have a look at 3Com's newly-released
Linux driver...
