I'm a student, relatively new to the list, so could you explain more about
what an "install fest" is?

Well, out of a list of 300 "members" the following people 'volunteered' to
provide assistance.

Wayde, who does just about everything to make this group go.

Sean and the tummy.crew, who also are really active.

Andrew Diederich, who is always willing to help out when he can.

And one student from campus, who I am aquainted with who doesn't even
"belong" to BLUG.

I am writing this so that people on the list realize just how much a few
people do for all of us in BLUG and that some of us, including me are
willing to talk, but basically we're freeloaders.

That's why I stepped forward to try and get a small event going on campus
to promote something great that we all find worth at least some of our
time- GNU/ Linux and Open Source Software.

So, four already busy people are willing to try. What about the silent
masses on this list? Are there any students on this list that want to
share something great with their peers?

It's not like we need two hundred people, to do a small install fest but
gee, it would be great to hear from someone other than Wayde and Sean and
Andrew too!

Sorry for the e-browbeating, but if this is about community then let's
make some community happen.

Have a great weekend, and email me off list with ideas, comments etc.
