I set up Samba on a Linux box to do backups of Windoze.

I can smbmount the Windoze drives locally on the Linux
and do tar/cpio as it pleases me but one thing came up:

find finds nonexistent files on the Windoze file systems
and then reports - file not found, quite a contradiction.

It finds temporary files which were deleted (for unknown reason
by some application) and are not accessable under Windoze but
must be still in some buffer.

And - at startup, smb demon likes to have 10000 files but
only get 1010 or so - I could not find a parameter to tweak
the kernel file table size in the kernel xconfig.
 
This is not crucial, I am just curious if somebody else ran
across this.
