            Boulder Linux User's Group Meeting Summary
            ==========================================


Attendance:  42

Synopsis:  Jonathan Corbet, President of Ekelectix Inc. 
<http://eklektix.com/> and co-editor of the Linux Weekly News
<http://www.lwn.net/> was our featured speaker this month.  He is also a
member of the Linux Professional Institute's advisory council, and has
been involved with their efforts to establish an certification procedure
for Linux Professionals.  The talk revolved around just what Linux
Certification means, and why it is considered important. In particular he
discussed the current state of the existing certification programs being
offered by Red Hat, SAIR, and the Linux Professional Institute.  A copy of

The meeting finished up with our usual question and answer session, and
door prize drawings. 

(One group member brought in his PC to get some help installing Linux, and
left with a fully operation version of Linux installed.  Thanks for
helping him out Calvin!)
