If the computer is not fairly new, make sure that the system's battery is
OK. A low battery can cause the clock to be off, as well as loss of CMOS
settings.

  Subject: [lug] Losing Clock setting

Does anyone know why I keep losing my date & time settings in Linux 5.0
and
  5.2 versions.

I set it using this format: # date 102701351999

But on rebooting it defaults to something way off

  Thanks ahead for any help,

  Dave Willcox :-)
