Yep, right next to the Infinite Improbability Generator, and beneath the nice
hot cup of tea ;)

Actually, in this case, half life is a multiplayer game which can be played
over the internet.  The server is the machine people connect to when they want
to play over the internet.

So, it's sort of common firewall terminology, but not terribly so.
