For those of you that might have wondered...I fixed my mouse problem in my
Slackware 7 recent install. The /dev/mouse link to /dev/psaux was ok, so I
edited my XF86Config file manually to find the problem. Under the "Pointers"
section the first couple lines have a field to input the mouse "Protocol" and
"Device". "Device" had 'psaux' which was correct and originally the "Protocol"
had 'Microsoft'. I changed the "Protocol" field to "PS/2" and this solved the
problem. So basically for my PS/2 Logitech 2 button mouse the Pointers section
looked like this:

Protocol "PS/2"
Device "/dev/psaux"

  Justin
