I think George wasn't talking about a machine account but much rather about a
user account.  The NT user must provide proper user credentials for accessing
the Samba share on your Linux system.  Check your Samba setup and see who can
browse that share, what security model you chose (NT domain or user level)...
SWAT, which you can access from any web browser through port 901
(LinuxServerIP:901) will let you check your Samba settings.  Most likely you are
struggling with Samba permission issues.
