Thus spoke scoffin at netcom.com

Fonts will display differently from monitor to monitor due to pitch
differences and other issues. So what looks good on my system may not look
good on yours. Especially since X doesn't directly support alpha blending for
fonts. And especially since my monitor displays random parts of the screen
with a blur radius of 25 pixels. *sigh* My eyes are killing me.

That said, you can find all sorts of fonts for download from the net.
Take a look at http://www.graphics-muse.com/graphics-cgi/gmcat.pl?id=111
Thats the fonts listing in the catalog of tools and links on my Graphics
Muse site. There are links there to all sorts of font archives on the net.
If for some reason that link doesn't work for you, just go to
http://www.graphics-muse.com and click on the Fonts subheading under "X
Window System" in the catalog (which is right below the article summaries).
