My External Cisco 675 works wonderfully with any of the OSen I've thrown at
it:

YellowDog Linux
MacOS 8.x / 9
RH Linux
Win 95/98/NT4/2000
BeOS 4.5

It is especially nice to have a 10/100 interface on the 675 so my whole
network stays 100Mb/s.

The DHCP server portion seems a bit flaky, so I just assign static IPs in
the same range as the Cisco's available IP pool.

I can get DSL and I am familiar with all the technicalities that involve
getting it installed (I work in the telecom industry). I was more curious as
to what modems people are using with linux and what isp's are offering
decent
service.
