[lug] US West dial-up access

**  i have been a uswurst dialup user for 1.5-2.0
    years or so (in central denver).

    there have been 2 or maybe 3 major outages
    during that time that i have been aware of.

    not 8 hours, but perhaps 4 or 5 or 6.

    1, i recall, was planned.

    another was not.

    the 3rd (if it happened) i don't recall.

    i have never been a user of any other isp,
    so i don't know if this is good or bad.  but
    i'm not complaining.

    fwiw, usw has also always dealt with pots
    installs and problems in timely and responsible
    fashion.  they don't deserve *all* the bad
    raps they get.
