According to the review in the Mar 2000 Linux Magazine Perfect Backup has problems.  To quote them:
"Its menu-oriented interface can be tedious, and it lacks a way to synchronize with applications
before and after operations."  On the plus side they say it will back up network drives and
multiple file systems concurrently while using any device or file.
