sure:

- Linux is open source, so you often get updates much faster. 

- PC hardware is modular, so if an ethernet card goes out you can
  easily grab one off the shelf to replace it. 

- The Linux solution is a lot cheaper. ;) Especially if you already
  have a PC around that can be setup to do routing and DNS. 

- I don't think cisco's directly support DNS servers. I could be
  mistaken.
