It's possible that Corel's version of WINE is expecting some color
configuration info to come from KDE or GNOME. Can you try running a
non-KDE/non-GNOME session (say with FVWM or some other simple window
manager) and see if the problem shows up? I don't have the KDE or GNOME
libs installed completely. If you can't try that, no problem. I may see
if I can try it on my test box even though it has a pretty weak video card.

I tried several other window managers (FVWM2, FVWM, Blackbox, etc.). The
only one that gave me problems was IceWM and it was complaining about not
finding a Font server, so it wouldn't even load PhotoPaint. All other WM
had different colors, but it looked nothing as you described. Every other
window, like for xterm, looked the same as the WINE window that PhotoPaint
was using.

At this point, I don't know where else to look.

Just to recap, I got the full version download from corel and installed it
inside the KDE on my Mandrake 7.0 box. I then tested PhotoPaint running
under several other window managers and saw no problems with the color
schemes for the windows.
