[lug] Address in use?

How can I track this error message down? 

Jul 14 16:21:26 localhost inetd[494]: auth/tcp: bind: Address already in use
Jul 14 16:31:26 localhost inetd[494]: auth/tcp: bind: Address already in use

I can still get connections on my auth port but this message in syslog drives
me nuts, any ideas?
