[lug] Shell script to check JAVA app

I coded a JAVA app last night which takes an integer and spells out it's
name. 22 to twenty-two.

I'd like to check it using a script but have no idea how to do it.
Obviously I don't wanna run 1000 queries. I have no idea how to script to
an app. 


Can anyone help. I've got PERL 5 installed and I only know BASH but I
could try using ksh or c if that'd be more useful in this situation.
