[lug] How do you setup a RH 6.2 box with console out serial port?

what exactly are you trying to achieve here?  Are you trying to
connect something to this box so that you can connect through the
console, remotely?  If so, another solution would be to use a terminal
server from Cisco.  It's basically a router that connects to, let's
say, a serial port on each of 16 boxes.  Then, remotely, you could do
something like this:

telnet terminaserver.domain.com 2001

And you would go through the
terminal server, and out port 01 of the terminal server, which is
connected to the serial port of the box you need to connect to.  This
is very usefull when you can't connect via the box's network
interface.

If this isn't what you're trying to do, then you can ignore me :)
