Has anyone ever used a REX on a unix/linux system?

I just got a REX PDA.  I have found that I can insert it into my
laptop's PCMCIA slot, and view it's contents via "less /dev/mem0c0".
But I don't know how the data structures are setup.

I also have a serial docking station for it that I don't know how/if I
can use.
