A subject near-and-dear to my heart is the issue of rock-solid
audio/video playback from a hard drive in extreme cases, i.e. playing
one stream in a delayed mode while recording another in the background
while browsing the web.

Tuning kernel buffers? Low-latency patches? What did TiVo do to the IDE
subsystem? Suggested kernel modifications?

Looking forward to your talk.
