[lug] ISA Networking

I can't tell you about the intel card, but the 3Com has a utility that runs
under dos. It's called 3c5x9cfg and is used to configure the card. That's
where you should start. Once the card is configured and visible to the
config sw, you can boot. The 3c509 cards are pretty decent in that they are
readily recognized at boot. Perhaps the problem was configuration of the
card and interrupt conflict. I believe that the 3c509 is supported for
installation of RH6.2 and 7.0, so I think it's just a matter of seeing it.
The etherlink II, 3c503 isn't seen at installation though. I worked around
it with a 3c509, but I suppose a driver disk would have worked for that too.
