Here is the problem, I am using Partition magic and I set up the partitions the way I want them, and then it goes to DOS to apply the changes. I get an error 58 saying that it can't write to the boot sector of the disk. There may by some virus protection that is not allowing me to do this. Any ideas on what I can do? I don't have any anti-virus software that I am aware of. Supposedly the bios has some protection that keeps me from writing... Any help at all would be enourmously apprecited. Thanks in advance.

It's common for a BIOS to have protection for boot sectors. You might
want to check your BIOS to see if it has some kind of antivirus turned
on, or just plain old password or other security for the boot sector.
