On a slightly different note, does anyone know how to go about cracking md5
passwords. As a security precaution on the network I administer, I'd like
to run something like Crack on the passwords to test for password strength.

I haven't looked extensively at Crack to see if it supports the md5
approach, so if I need to go RTM. Let me know.
