Other shells have versions of this. I'm using tcsh, it is the autologout
feature, which I have disabled. Since the window manager probably runs
under bash, it would still apply even if individual users are in tcsh. I
am thinking this is part of an X11 thing, and not a shell property,
since I have no autologout in any of the shells.
