[lug] Checksum & scp

I'm looking to switch as much of our ftp traffic over to scp as
possible. I'm wondering two things. SSH's (http://www.ssh.com) web page
describes SFTP2 as well as SCP2. Anyone know the difference between the
two? I couldn't find anything on their pages about it. I'm looking for a
good GUI client for Windows users to use but haven't seen anything
except SSH's for $99. Seems like most of the gui's are ssh only....I'm
pretty much just interested in scp (or sftp).

The other thing I would like to implement is file integrity. I have a
couple of ideas but am looking for other opinions. Something like having
a checksum generated automatically before the file is sent and then I
can compare the checksum after I receive the file.
