This is fairly of topic, and I appologize for its selfish nature in advance, but LUGs seem to be a good way to get an idea about an area. I am a Network Engineer (IP, cisco stuff) looking to relocate to Boulder (in in Atlanta). Can anyone give me an idea about the market in the area? I know I choose a bad time because things are a little tighter than they were just a few months ago, but my sister is moving to boulder and I really like the place so my mind is made up. I resigned a few months ago to go hiking, and now that i've started looking i'm really suprised at the market.

I have a lot of Cisco and Xylan experience and have done everything from creating datacenters to requesting (and getting) ARIN blocks, but so far the response from area business has been tepid. I've been pretty disappointed, its not like i'm requesting insane money or anything.

Anyway, flame me if you must, but I would appreciate any response about your feeling about the boulder SP/carrier/enterprise network market. I don't own a car, so a lot of my problem is i'm looking for something really in the city or bikable...

Thanks everyone!
