Have you seen Crusade?

Sci Fi channel isn't syndicated, it's cable. Syndicated refers to
TV programs which are produced independantly of the the major networks,
and purchased by television stations to fill out spots not filled
by their network affiliation feed. It used to be that syndicated programs
were only re-run versions of Network produced shows (re-runs),
but in the late 80s, early 90s with some changes in FCC regulations,
it became much more likely for programs to be produced for first-run
syndication. (The name Syndicate comes from the collection of stations
which a producer lined up to order the show in advance, to finance
production.)

Babylon 5 started out as a syndicated program, then was picked up
by the short lived PTNetwork.

Just a little broadcast business geeking. As you were.
