Abstract:

Laptops are pretty cool little devices, but in the past I've found
them hard to use becuase it seems like the file you want is always on your
desktop. Syncing things between the desktop and laptop can be a pain...
Who wants to be tied to their desktop though? A year ago I switched
completely over to using my laptop as my primary computer, and since then
most of the rest of the folks at tummy.com have as well. I'll talk about
disconnected e-mail, wireless and remote Internet access, backups, and
other issues of having your main Linux system with you everywhere you go.
