Hello all,
I am trying install IBM's Websphere Application Server on my Debian system. The problem is, they only support Redhat (6.2 if I'm not mistaken).

The archive comes with an installation script and a whole slew of RPMs. I hacked the installation script to use alien instead of rpm. It appears to have installed, but I got a bunch of warnings that I can't decipher, and I was hoping you folks could shed some light on them. Actually, I'm mostly interested in the following:
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: format of not recognized
The rest of them, I believe, just mean that the conversion from RPM to DEB went less than smoothly (which I'm used to).

Here is all the output from running the script:

$ ./quickinstall.sh

dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: format of libjvm.so not recognized
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: format of libhpi.so not recognized
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: format of libjvm_g.so not recognized

dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: format of libjava.so not recognized

dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: format of libjava_g.so not recognized
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: format of libjvm_g.so not recognized
