[lug] compiling php for stronghold

i am trying to compile php4 for use with a stronghold webserver. the src
seems to compile correctly, however I am sure that it is not writing a
module to any directory within the stronghold structure.
most of the docs i am seeing that talk about compiling php have a very
vague description that states "...make install will have placed a module
in the proper place within the apache directory structure..." so i am left
with this very vague notion of what i should be expecting.

also, after the compile, i am not seeing any .so files, only libphp4.a and
.la

sorry to be so general/vague.
