[lug] commandline alias

Yes, using the alias command sets an alias for that session only.  If you want to make it permanent, you must put this command in your shell's resource file, so that it is run every time you log in.

If you're running bash, you need to put the following line in your .bashrc file:

alias cdr="mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom"
