[lug] command line editing in vi

I never could figure out how to get vi to do this, or
why it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't.

I don't know how well versed you are in vi, but 'k'
moves up one line and 'j' moves down one line (you of
course need to go into command mode first by hitting
esc)
