[lug] domain names

This morning I received an email from BuyDomains.com.  They were
considerate enough to inform me that my domain name will expire with in the
month but they also offer 'the opportunity' for me to renew it through
them.  Following is an excerpt form their message:

> "We are sending this email as a friendly reminder that it's time to renew
your domain registration. While some sources charge $35 or more per year to
renew domains, you can transfer and renew your registration through
BuyDomains.com for LESS THAN HALF (ONLY $16). "

It sounds like they may want to host my site as well since they use the
active verb 'transfer'.  Can anyone tell me if this a legit offer?
