One suggestion I was given is that RealPlayer and EasyCD Creator don't
get along. Apparently this is the key. The software that came with the
CD burner included EasyCD Creator, which is what caused lockups and made
the machine unusable. What I did was upgrade RealPlayer from version 7.0
to version 7.1, and after that, EasyCD creator worked on Win 2k! No more
lockups. I tested a file that I created on linux by telling it to use
the file (from Win 2k) to burn a new ISO, and it worked. Next I have to
work on making the CD bootable (I think the major battle has been won).
