Gentlemen, and Ladies of course,

  I find myself looking for answers yet again and I'm in a situation that unfortunately can't wait for a return phone call, and I apologize for bringing this here but I figured someone may be able to help.

  I have a K series HP 9000 that is owned by my company but runs a proprietary Qwest (they/ them) app. Since they are overly cautious about security, we have no usernames or passwords to access this system. Friday the server became unbound from the NIS domain and they simply chose to reboot the server. As of two hours ago it still had not come back up, as such they have no way to access the machine to perform any type of troubleshooting. I called to inform them of the situation and I was told that the primary support person was at the doctor and we would have to wait.

  Ok to the issue, the machine seemed to have hung during the reboot,  so I figured I'd hard boot the machine.  There isn't any TOC button on the back of the machine, and since there is a UPS attached I pulled the power cord from the UPS to the power supply and let it sit there for about a minute.  Since Friday there has been no output to the console even after all this.  A crtl+b doesn't even get any output, power cycling the console while holding the D key down and releasing at the beep yields only blocks at the bottom of the screen (i.e. device config).  The LCD looks as follows;

 INIT C440
 PRI CNSL 0123

 That's where it seems to stop. Anyone have any ideas, besides calling HP? I'd call HP but, I'm sitting here waiting for the muckity mucks in corporate to locate the service agreement number since they were not left with rest of the server documentation. So I was hoping someone else has gone through this before or has any tips.

Thanks,
Bill

 Ah it's Monday....
