[lug] Windows *SHUTTER* Shares

Use samba for that.  The default smb.conf should get you started once you define a workgroup/domain.  Modify the example shares at the end of the file and you're set.  You may need to play with encrytped vs plain text authentication to make it work.  Good luck.
