[lug] Doubt in reading source

SRPMS are intstalled on Red Hat systems in /usr/src/redhat. The source 
tarball and patches are put under the SOURCES directory and the RPM spec 
file is put in the SPECS directory.

You can build the binary RPMS by going to the SPECS directory and typing 
"rpm -ba <specfile>". If all goes well, the RPMS are put in one of the 
architecture directories under the RPMS directory.

As far as where to get these source packages, I recommend visiting 
ftp.redhat.com or one of its many FTP mirrors.
