   I have seen some mice freak out when using Resolution. Try commenting it
   out.
No perceived difference.

   From a root prompt, assuming Redhat (since the runlevels I mention are
   based on that), and assuming you normally boot to graphics mode, run:
   init 3
   
   Then:
   init 5
No perceived difference.
