[lug] Apache start on boot

which runlevel is your default?
are you sure you want to be putting the apache startup in rc2.d?
are you using runlevel 5 by default?


from my /etc/inittab (rh6.2)
#   2 - Multiuser, without NFS (The same as 3, if you do not have
networking)
#   3 - Full multiuser mode
#   4 - unused
#   5 - X11
