[lug] installing linux with NT Dual boot

Good luck. I've never been able to install a version of Windows
on a box with another existing OS. You will want the partition
the drive before installing NT but it sounds like that's done.
The last time I tried, I did manage to install 2000 in a partition
that had been created by Partition Commander. I then installed
Linux on the rest of the drive.

Some issues, I think that Windows ( NT, 2000, and ME are the ones
that I have experience with ) will demand to be placed at the front
of the drive. Then, RedHat's disk druid will insist that the
linux boot partition sits within the first 1024 cylinders of the drive
although this is no longer a requirement of the kernel. So, check
your drives cylinder count and verify that the windows partition
does not eat up too many cylinders. ( The last 40G drive I played
with had 8M cylinders but don't rely on that size. )

If you do manage to get Windows installed it will probably blow away
your existing boot loader. Make sure that you have a floppy that
you can use to boot linux. You can create one when you install linux

If you have any problems, feel free to contact me.
