[lug] ICS type application for GNU/Linux

Dearest blug-ers,

my roommates and I recently ordered at&t at home broadband cable.  I've been
playing with ICS on a 2000 Professional box.  It works, but its not a
dedicated box so it crashes and hangs, and generally misbehaves (since I
first installed win2k on 6/20/2000 its crashed 34 times -- I've been
counting for fun.)

I'm not very experienced with GNU/Linux networking, but I would rather use
something that provides the same functionaility running on GNU/Linux box
instead, as it is generally more stable. :)

If you could point me to some HOWTO's or software, I would appriciate it.
