[lug] Can't display history in csh

Hi,

I am having trouble with csh (my friend is taking an
Intro to UN*X class and his instructor insists).

I run Debian (the unstable version), and when I type
'history', it does not display anything--it just
returns to the prompt (i.e., no command history, no
error message--nothing).

Everything else concerning the command history seems
to work.  I can dereference past commands using '!'
and '!!'.

Anyone know of any config parameters I can look at?
