Hi D. Stimits,

I still disagree with you as to whether its a bug or not.

However, *REGARDLESS* of others' assessments of the correctness of
the code in question, if you should re-open the bugzilla entry at
Red Hat.  If you want, you can open a new ticket and label it as a
"feature request" or improvement.  This is *exactly* the kind of
solution that Tom politely suggested.  The RH folks do care and do
pay attention to their bugzilla entries...


Instead, you've spent your typing effort bitching to us on this 

list.  And thats a shame 'cause you could have better spent your
time (and ours) working with the RH folks to get your feature/bug/
whatever into the next revision.
