Wow, they finally released it?  I used to work with it on a cluster of HP
T-520s back in the <shudder> '90s.  Anyway, from what I've played with
Alan's Heartbeat code, it looks to be a pretty complete replacement for
what MC/ServiceGuard was back in 1997.  You may want to look at that
instead.

It deals with IP address migration, starting and migrating services running
on the machines, and determining when machines enter/leave the cluster.
And the latest version is included on this month's KRUD.  ;-)
