Here's what my box says:

paranoia [1]# postconf -m
nis
dbm
regexp
environ
btree
unix
hash

here's what happens when I try to call a hash map:

Dec 13 01:42:34 paranoia postfix-script: [ID 197553 mail.info] refreshing
the Postfix mail system
Dec 13 01:42:34 paranoia postfix/master[24730]: [ID 197553 mail.info]
reload configuration
Dec 13 01:42:43 paranoia postfix/smtpd[25638]: [ID 947731 mail.crit]
fatal: unsupported dictionary type: hash
Dec 13 01:42:44 paranoia postfix/master[24730]: [ID 947731 mail.warning]
warning: process /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd pid 25638 exit
status 1
Dec 13 01:42:44 paranoia postfix/master[24730]: [ID 947731 mail.warning]
warning: /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup --
 throttling

at which point, postfix goes and crawls into a corner in a fetal position
and refuses to talk to anyone.

It's certainly bizarre.
