hi,

i am facing the following error when i am booting in linux.i am having windows NT server on the same hard disk.so is there any option of getting booted .plz tell me .i am new to this linux.

partition check: 
hda:hda1 hda2 hda3 hda4 <hda5 hda6 hda7 >
autodetecting raid arrays
autorun....
............autorun done.
request-module[block-major-22];Root fs not mounted
VFS:cannot open root device 16:02
Kernel panic:vfs:unable to mount root fs on 16:02
