[lug] Samba problem

I have samba installed on 2 linux machines. The machines can ping each other,
and smbclient works locally on each of them. smbclient from each of them can
also access a third machine, an NT box, and they can transfer files back and
forth to it.

When I attempt to use smbclient between them in either direction the
connection times out.

[emgrasso at xerxes emgrasso]$ smbclient -L barney -U vobadm
added interface ip=192.168.1.109 bcast=192.168.1.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
added interface ip=192.168.2.4 bcast=192.168.2.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
added interface ip=10.6.1.30 bcast=10.6.1.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
timeout connecting to 192.168.1.99:139
Connection to barney failed

Any ideas on how to track down the problem would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks

Elyse
