One must be careful with received headers as well. It is becoming more
common that spam I receive lately contain a forged received line or two.

That's because most spammers will forge the from header so they don't have
to deal with the tens of thousands of bounced messages.  The only reliable
tracking is the Received line that tells you what machine connected to
yours.  Also, if they list a URL in the mail, you can report that to the
ISP that controls it -- they often will shut down the server.
