[lug] Redhat 7.2 Network Configuration Problems

Experiencing weirdness with the KRUD 7.2 install using kickstart on
a
Dell Poweredge 2550.

Initially, the server configured itself (using Dell's tool to generate a
kickstart script) for DHCP. I didn't think this was an issue, for I
thought I would merely use the handy graphical configurator to resetup the
network to something I liked.

Regrettably, logged in as root and using the Network Configuration tool
supplied by Redhat actually did nothing as it would not save changes.

Next step was to try and drop the desire choices into the kickstart script
and reinstall. No joy, still DHCP.

Anyone have any similar issues with the Redhat Network Configurator? Any
suggestions?

My next step is to try the install by hand, and add the Dell supplied
packages from the kickstart floppy (NIC,RAID card, etc). Can you just
specify these during the anaconda install or do you have to add them post
install?

Boy this will teach me to not install Solaris! ;-)

P.S. It is also fair to suggest that "why don't you run netconfig?" but
that didn't actually work either. I am mostly curious as to why the
latest and greatest seems to be so difficult to make work.
