Hi Matt,

Sorry you've had so much trouble with Linux / Unix.

I've heard that there will be an "installfest" on the UC-Boulder campus
in the near future (Feb 9 ?).  If you can wait that long and if you'd
like to give Linux another try, I'll be happy to help you get one of the
Linux distros installed on your hardware at that event.

If theres sufficient time, I'd also be willing to help you configure the
system to "dual-boot" so that the transition to Linux might be easier
for you.
