[lug] How do you make sound work?

AARGH.  I *have* a SoundBlaster card:

CT4780 SBLive! Value (Multimedia audo controller)

as reported by KDE.  I'm probably missing something obvious, but not
so obvious that it doesn't work when I boot to Windoze.
